I bought this in an effort to replace one that came from Germany. I had trouble with the top staying on, at first. Once you “get it, “you get it. I found a small jar lid that fit on the bottom of this. Keeps it from dropping nutmeg in my cupboard. I would suggest to the maker that they make a small snap-on lid for that same purpose. It grinds the nutmeg in just the right size granules, and the smell of fresh nutmeg is intoxicating! Works beautifully.

Nutmeg makes everything better and this little mill releases it's yumminess. I went through several models of nutmeg tools, but this is my favourite. I tried zesters (very messy), grinding plates (I never got it to work, though I have seen it demonstrated), and fancy stainless steel mills (only held one nut). but this Swissmar mill is the one. It's easy to set up, and easy to use. It's size and shape allow it to fit directly over my cups so that I get maximum distribution in my beverage. It holds 4 nuts, so it takes less time to grind the nutmeg I use for baking. Five stars for this little beauty!
